Global data capture specialist DRS, a member of AIIM, is to advise on how best practice in document and records management can help an organisation improve services and optimise business processes at the Association for Enterprise and Content Management (AIIM) roadshow from 1st to 5th June.

DRS customer – and one of the UK’s largest outsourcing organisations – Capita will provide a case study session at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on 2nd June, to showcase how they are using DRS’ intelligent document and data capture solution DocXP® for the rapid conversion of paper information to electronic data. DRS will also present its work with global market research specialists TNS at the National Motorcycle Museum in Solihul on 3rd June and leading health brand Nutricia at the Marriot City Centre in Bristol during the roadshow.

DocXP® is a sophisticated, yet easy to use, intelligent data capture and document management solution that streamlines the document data capture process. Built on industry leading intelligent character, barcode and mark recognition technologies and techniques, DocXP® captures and processes any data from any type of form – whether the data is in pre-defined areas or in different locations on the document. Designed to process complex tables and line items, whilst carrying out auto-inspection, correction and verification of data at the same time, DocXP® brings significant organisational cost savings and efficiency gains. This software suite is used to capture and process a wide range of business transactional documents across the public, private and not-for profit sectors.

DRS will also be showcasing its award winning PS960 scanner at the roadshow. Capable of electronically capturing and processing up to 10,500 completed forms every hour and used around the world for high speed, high volume, real-time data capture projects such as census, examination processing and election counting, it is central to DRS’ portfolio of data capture solutions.

Debbie Rofe, head of marketing at DRS, comments: “Our experience of working in partnership with a wide range of global education, commercial and public authorities gives us a clear appreciation of the data and document capture challenges and complexities that businesses are facing. Our clients make significant reductions in data processing costs as well as benefiting from improvements in the efficiency of their processes.”
